This unforgettable 40km, 3-hour adventure combines the rich history of the Gympie region with the beauty of the stunning Mary Valley landscape, offering visitors a unique blend of nostalgia and modern-day charm.
Board the beautifully restored C17 steam train at the Historic Gympie Station and embark on a scenic ride through lush agricultural farmland, heading straight into the heart of the picturesque Mary Valley.
Upon arrival in the charming town of Amamoor, take a break and visit the viewing area where you can watch the train’s engine turn on the turntable. Then, explore the quaint Amamoor Village Green before reboarding your carriage for the return journey.
Throughout the trip, our friendly volunteer guides share fascinating stories and historical insights about the trains and the region, making your journey even more special as you relax and enjoy the views of this beautiful part of Queensland.
