Your adventure begins at Maroochy River Airbase, where you’ll take off and head north, soaring over the stunning Mudjimba Island. The flight path takes you along the coast to Mt Coolum, a towering natural landmark steeped in Dreamtime stories, where the ancient mountains of Ninderry and Coolum were said to have once been locked in an eternal rivalry, shaping the landscape you see today.

As you fly, you’ll pass by Sunshine Beach, a location with a fascinating past as a former military training site. In the past, even Japanese reconnaissance scouts considered it for a potential airstrip, highlighting its strategic importance.

Next, continue over the lush Noosa National Park, a breathtaking paradise that smoothly transitions from the coastline to tranquil hinterland. As you fly over the Noosa River, witness the untouched beauty of this iconic waterway, which has been preserved for centuries.

Your return journey will take you over Lake Weyba, a place deeply tied to Indigenous stories of the Bunyip, a water spirit. You’ll also fly past vast sugar cane fields before your final flyby of the majestic Mt Ninderry.

The flight culminates with a smooth water landing back at Maroochy River Airbase, completing your 45-50 minute adventure.

• The Wilga Warbird can accommodate up to 3 passengers per flight.
• Minimum of 2 passengers required for the flight.
• Total combined passenger weight limit: 200 kg.
